About the role

This role blends technical expertise in AMS circuit design, analysis, and implementation with sales and customer-facing engagements focused on selling analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit EDA tools to semiconductor companies. The position covers both top-down and bottom-up analog mixed-signal design methodologies alongside adjacent ecosystems such as PDKs, design verification, system-level design for package, board, and 3D-IC design, and emulation.

What you'll do

• Sell analog and mixed-signal EDA tools to semiconductor companies by evaluating design challenges, circuit architectures, and methodology gaps, mapping them to Synopsys solutions.
• Lead technical pre-sales engagements, including product demonstrations, proof-of-concept setups, and custom workflow proposals tailored to customer design environments.
• Identify new sales opportunities by aligning with customer roadmaps across data converters, PLLs, SerDes, and power management designs.
• Collaborate with engineering, product marketing, and R&D teams to define and deploy tooling solutions in customer workflows.
• Build relationships with design teams, CAD managers, and engineering leadership at key accounts to guide tooling decisions.
• Track competitive offerings and emerging technologies like quantum and photonics to position EDA tools across market segments.

What you'll need

• Hands-on experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, including silicon work in areas such as data converters, PLLs, SerDes, or power management ICs.
• Working understanding of top-down and bottom-up AMS design methodologies, from architecture exploration through layout and silicon validation.
• Experience engaging customers in a technical sales or applications engineering capacity, translating design challenges into tooling and methodology solutions.
• Working knowledge of adjacent domains including PDK development, design verification flows, system-level design (package, board, 3D-IC), and emulation platforms.
• Experience with EDA tool interoperability across end-to-end design flows.
• Ability to deliver technical demonstrations and presentations to design engineers and engineering leadership.

Nice to have

• Familiarity or experience with emerging technologies such as quantum computing or photonics design.
