Application Engineer – PIC Architecture

About the role
As an Application Engineer – PIC Architecture, you will serve as the primary technical interface between customers and internal engineering teams to understand application requirements and communicate product capabilities. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) products and technologies.
What you'll do
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, providing timely technical support and troubleshooting assistance.
- Translate customer requirements into technical discussions with architecture, design, layout, process integration, test, and operations teams.
- Educate customers on product capabilities, performance characteristics, design considerations, and application guidelines.
- Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, including product datasheets, test reports, test specifications, and application notes.
- Support product evaluations, technical reviews, customer engagements, and new product introductions based on customer feedback.
- Assist the Architecture team in defining and documenting product features, performance metrics, and application requirements.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or a related technical field.
- 1-5 years of work experience.
- Experience generating and maintaining technical documentation such as datasheets, test reports, specifications, and application notes.
- Technical Program Management experience or demonstrated ability to coordinate activities across multidisciplinary engineering disciplines.
- Proven ability to work effectively across test, layout, process, design, and operations organizations.
