$122,900 - $255,200 USD yearly
About the role
Lead a cross-functional team in developing and releasing new GaN and GaAs technologies, products, and processes to production. This position focuses on delivering reliable RF Compound Semiconductor ICs that meet target performance and manufacturability specifications.
What you'll do
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop and qualify new GaN/GaAs technologies, products, and processes for production release.
- Collaborate with business units, designers, program managers, customers, and fabrication teams to produce reliable RF Compound Semiconductor ICs.
- Develop process flows and design elements to achieve target circuit performance.
- Design corner experiments to detect manufacturability issues and key process sensitivities.
- Design and monitor in-line, DC, and RF probe test functions and structures to support process release.
- Analyze characterization data and resolve yield and performance-limiting factors through root cause analysis and improvements.
- Define design rules and associated infrastructures for new GaN technologies and processes.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Physics.
- 12+ years of experience (or equivalent combination of an advanced degree and experience) in process development, process integration, or yield enhancement in the semiconductor industry.
- Expertise in developing process flows and design elements to achieve required circuit performance.
- Experience designing corner experiments to identify manufacturability issues and process sensitivities.
- Experience designing and monitoring in-line, DC, and RF probe test structures and functions.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze characterization data, resolve yield-limiting factors, and define design rules for new processes.
Nice to have
- Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Physics.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through the development and release of new semiconductor technologies.
- Electrical test experience including parametric, die sort, and SPA.
- Understanding of statistical process control (SPC), design of experiments (DOE), and RF circuit functionality.
- Familiarity with CAD (Mentor) and analysis tools such as Spotfire and JMP.
- Technical background in Compound Semiconductor ICs, RF testing, GaN, GaAs, pHEMT, and transistors.
