About the role
Lead the development of power conversion solutions for AI and data center applications, including AC/DC power supplies, DC/DC converters, intermediate bus converter (IBC) modules, and system protection technologies. The role focuses on developing high-density solutions utilizing GaN and silicon technologies.
What you'll do
- Develop high-frequency power conversion solutions for AI and data center applications using Power Integrations products and technologies.
- Define power architectures and key subsystem requirements for power delivery systems.
- Create reference designs and application platforms that demonstrate system performance, efficiency, and power density.
- Collaborate with product development teams and customers to address technical challenges and optimize system performance.
- Conduct design analysis, validation, testing, and troubleshooting of high-power switching power supplies.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and market trends to guide product and application development.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in power electronics design and development.
- Proven experience designing high-density server or data center power solutions, including applications above 3 kW.
- Strong understanding of power supply topologies, including Active Power Factor Correction (PFC), LLC resonant converters, phase-shifted full bridge converters, buck, boost, buck-boost, and flyback converters.
- Deep expertise in high-density, high-frequency power converter design and high-frequency magnetics design and optimization.
- Proficiency with design and simulation tools such as MATLAB, SIMPLIS, LTspice, PLECS, and Excel, alongside hands-on laboratory testing and debugging skills.
Nice to have
- Experience developing embedded firmware in C/C++ for power supply applications.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as I²C and PMBus.
- Experience using finite element analysis tools such as ANSYS.
- Knowledge of digital power control and debugging tools for embedded power systems.
- Experience working directly with hyperscale data center, server, or AI infrastructure applications.
