About the role
This role involves leading problem-solving efforts as a Principal Engineer, specializing in Wide Band Gap (WBG) technologies, specifically SiC and GaN, within the Manufacturing and Operations team.
What you'll do
- Lead problem-solving teams and support the WBG-program with SiC and GaN.
- Contribute to complex development or innovation projects for power semiconductors.
- Apply and improve problem-solving methodology combined with a strong analytical background.
- Continuously enhance technical expertise in base material, metallization, chip frontside passivation, and frontend/backend interaction topics.
- Drive improvement projects during innovation, development, and product ramp-up phases.
- Proactively collaborate with R&D partners, Frontend & Backend unit process development, integration, and innovation teams, and external scientific partners.
What you'll need
- A university degree in Material Science, Physics, Electric Engineering, or a similar scientific-technical field.
- Several years of working experience in semiconductor technologies.
- Expertise in semiconductor technologies, Frontend or Backend processing and integration.
- Deep knowledge of statistical methods and professional data assessment based on quantitative or qualitative data sources.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a cross-functional, multi-site, and international environment and willingness to travel internationally.
