Photolithography Lab Operator

About the role

The Photolithography Lab Operator works hands-on in a clean room environment utilizing equipment and chemicals to perform photolithography operations. The role supports cleaning, etching, plating, and patterning substrates to produce a variety of thin-film products.

What you'll do

• Execute photolithography processes, including cleaning, etching, plating, and patterning substrates in manual and semi-automated workflows.
• Work with various types of photo-resist and chemicals to perform developing and plating processes.
• Operate pattern aligners and semi-automated and manual etching equipment.
• Use microscope-based measurement tools, X-Ray, alpha-step, and beta scope to inspect and measure thin-film products.
• Handle chemicals and associated hazardous waste while strictly adhering to safety guidelines and lab procedures.
• Lift chemical bottles weighing between 10 and 20 pounds and maintain a clean and orderly work area.

What you'll need

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in photolithography processes, with an emphasis on development and manufacturing.
• Proficiency in using equipment such as microscopes, calipers, Asher, X-Ray, Beta scope, Alpha step, and masking aligners.
• Experience in handling chemicals and knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices and safety procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, review critical criteria, and follow special instructions.
• Prior experience working for an ISO 9000 certified company.
• Must qualify as a "U.S. Person" under ITAR/EAR regulations (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

Nice to have

• Technical school or associate degree.
