About the role
As an Optical Sensor Design Engineer, you will develop precision technologies supporting advanced semiconductor manufacturing by contributing to the optical alignment systems inside ASML’s lithography machines. You will design, build, test, and integrate complex optical and photonic sensor systems.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, build, and integrate optical alignment sensor systems.
- Build and align imaging, detector, and fiber-optic systems.
- Analyze test data to evaluate sensor performance and identify technical issues.
- Lead root-cause investigations, complex testing, and technical troubleshooting activities.
- Develop, test, and improve signal-processing algorithms and analysis methods.
- Coordinate technical work across software, electronics, manufacturing, and equipment engineering teams.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in physics, optics, optical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least two years of relevant engineering experience, including applicable graduate research.
- Hands-on experience building, testing, aligning, or troubleshooting optical systems.
- Experience using MATLAB for data processing, analysis, or algorithm development.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in a related technical field.
- Familiarity with Python or LabVIEW.
