Optical Fabrication Technician Back End Days 6am – 6pm ( Thursday, Friday, Saturday, alternate Wednesday)

About the role
This role involves fabricating advanced optical components for semiconductor photolithography machines, requiring precise execution to produce high-quality optics per production schedules.
What you'll do
- Monitor and take ownership of optical processing equipment.
- Handle delicate optical components and visually identify abnormal characteristics.
- Perform assigned work content to support area and factory schedule execution.
- Inspect and create a map of glass surfaces showing minute defects.
- Clean optical surfaces of all particles and contaminants.
- Assist with training new and existing employees.
What you'll need
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility or completion of a vocational certification.
- Prior use of measuring equipment including microscopes, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machine (CMM), or interferometer.
- Ability to read and understand gages and other measuring devices.
- Ability to interpret mathematical and geometrical data, such as topographical maps.
- Willingness to work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, and gloves for the entire duration of the shift.
Nice to have
- Associate degree in a vocational trade.
- Participation in continuous improvement efforts (quality circles, kaizen events).
