About the role
The NPC Engineering Technician III performs moderately complex electro-mechanical technical functions, including design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems.
What you'll do
- Perform testing, checkout, modification, and assembly of experimental design circuitry, prototype models, specialized test equipment, tools, and test fixtures.
- Test and troubleshoot system-level and component-level problems in electrical and mechanical systems, sub-systems, new system installations, NPI installations, and field upgrades.
- Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or plans to execute testing and troubleshooting.
- Compile logbooks and test procedures documentation, and assist in revising, developing, and implementing department procedures.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process testing on AMAT platforms according to engineering and manufacturing documentation.
- Execute rework, assist in determining remedies for malfunctions, and generate Quality Notifications.
What you'll need
- Developed proficiency in analytical processes and procedures for electro-mechanical technical systems.
- Experience reading and working from schematics, diagrams, engineering layouts, and plans.
- Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems.
- Ability to maintain logbooks, document test procedures, and generate quality notifications.
