About the role
This role involves performing complex electro-mechanical technical functions related to semiconductor equipment. This includes designing, testing, troubleshooting, and assembling electronics and electro-mechanical systems on AMAT platforms.
What you'll do
- Perform complex electro-mechanical technical functions, including design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly.
- Test and troubleshoot system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems.
- Perform new system and NPI installations and field upgrades.
- Compile logbooks and test procedures documentation, and assist in revising, developing, and implementing documented procedures.
- Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & vacuum, and process testing on AMAT platforms.
- Provide training to lower level Engineering Technicians and serve as a technical resource for a particular platform or product.
What you'll need
- Experience performing complex electro-mechanical technical functions.
- Ability to test and troubleshoot system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems with minimal supervision.
- Experience with new system and NPI installations and field upgrades.
- Ability to write complex technical reports and test procedures.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & vacuum, and process testing on AMAT platforms.
- Full understanding of the company's manufacturing and/or engineering processes.
- Ability to provide technical input to correct problems at the system level and in the manufacturing process.
