About the role
This role performs complex electro-mechanical technical functions such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems. It includes conducting mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and vacuum testing on AMAT platforms according to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
What you'll do
- Test and troubleshoot system-level and component-level issues in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems with minimal supervision.
- Assemble, modify, and checkout experimental design circuitry, prototype models, specialized test equipment, tools, and test fixtures.
- Perform new system and NPI installations, field upgrades, and complex testing on AMAT platforms to engineering documentation.
- Investigate issues with limited documentation, compile data, and recommend changes to enhance product performance.
- Compile logbooks, write complex technical reports, and assist in developing and revising test procedures documentation.
- Provide training to lower-level Engineering Technicians, deliver standard work instructions, and provide technical input to management and Engineering for NPI.
What you'll need
- Advanced specialized expertise within an analytical or scientific discipline to perform complex electro-mechanical troubleshooting and assembly.
- Proven capability in testing and diagnosing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and vacuum systems at both system and component levels.
- Experience working with prototype models, experimental circuitry, specialized test fixtures, and NPI documentation.
- Ability to write technical reports and compile test procedure documentation.
- Understanding of semiconductor equipment manufacturing and engineering processes.
