About the role
This role involves managing night-shift operations for manufacturing silicon wafers.
What you'll do
- Assure safe and efficient operations for fab areas.
- Support and maintain a safe working environment by monitoring company safety programs.
- Understand and communicate financial and operational goals to employees.
- Develop and mentor direct labor to operate autonomously.
- Oversee all essential requirements to keep the Fabrication area functioning properly.
- Provide guidance on production and engineering issues during the shift.
- Utilize Lot Priority, line balance, and other inventory management systems.
- Utilize and maintain electronic product tracking and communication systems.
What you'll need
- 3+ years’ experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of all aspects of operations management: capacity, headcount management, lean manufacturing/continuous improvement, production scheduling.
- Ability to foster a professional work environment that instills trust and confidence.
- Demonstrated experience using computers in the factory environment for automation, analysis, and communication, including email, web applications, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Good knowledge of Excel.
- Ability and willingness to alter schedule as needed.
Nice to have
- Prior experience working in a union direct labor environment.
- Semiconductor wafer fab experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
