About the role
AMD is hiring an MTS Systems Engineer to research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. The role defines processes for technical platforms, system specifications, and parameters for hardware and software compatibility across product frameworks.
What you'll do
- Design complete and complex frameworks, systems, or products, and define technical platform processes and input/output parameters for hardware and software compatibility.
- Conceive system interfaces and business application prototypes, and identify, analyze, and resolve system design weaknesses.
- Contribute to architectural frameworks used across multiple products and systems.
- Evaluate process flows from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, and timing and power use.
- Apply engineering principles to the design, development, and testing of electronic equipment, circuit boards, processors, and chips.
What you'll need
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology Management, or a related field plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering or data architecting role (or a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience).
- 3 years of experience with Linux administration.
- 3 years of experience with infrastructure reliability and infrastructure resilience design.
- 3 years of experience implementing automation strategy.
- 3 years of experience in performance analysis and optimization.
- 3 years of experience with rapid incident response and continuous system health management.
