About the role
As a Module Integrator Intern, you will work on the development of advanced RF front-end modules designed for 5G NR and 6G smartphone applications, integrating high-performance hardware components into optimized multi-chip modules.
What you'll do
- Contribute to the design of RF front-end modules (RF-FEM), including power amplifiers (PAs), silicon-on-insulator (SOI) dies, filter dies, and surface-mounted devices (SMDs).
- Build complex HFSS EM models of multi-functional RF front-end modules to extract performance and minimize coupling and shielding effects.
- Conduct full module simulations (FMS) across all functional states to identify compliance issues and propose solutions.
- Collaborate with team members to contribute design schematics, simulations, and real lab data.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
- Coursework and/or experience in RF and analog circuit design.
- Strong understanding of impedance matching using Smith charts, and RF/microwave parameters such as gain, loss, noise figure, and stability.
- Hands-on experience with simulation and EDA tools, such as ADS, FEM, HFSS, Momentum, Cadence, EMX, and/or AWR.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Nice to have
- Experience with passive RF structures such as filters, couplers, dividers, patch antennas, and/or active CMOS circuits tape-out.
- Experience with lab characterization using spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.
