About the role
This role involves the fabrication, modification, repair, and assembly of precision parts, tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and facility operations.
What you'll do
- Fabricate precision components, fixtures, tooling, prototypes, and equipment modifications to required specifications.
- Operate manual and CNC mills, lathes, grinders, saws, drill presses, and other machine shop equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, blueprints, and sketches.
- Determine appropriate manufacturing methods and machining sequence to efficiently complete projects.
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and modification of existing equipment and tooling.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, facilities, and manufacturing teams to develop solutions.
What you'll need
- Skilled machinist capable of working independently from engineering drawings, sketches, and customer requirements.
- Experience utilizing conventional and CNC machining equipment.
- Ability to select appropriate materials, tooling, cutting parameters, and machining techniques.
- Ability to maintain accurate job documentation and provide status updates.
- Ability to identify required materials and components for assigned projects.
- Ability to follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
Nice to have
- Experience with CAD/CAM software.
- CNC programming and setup experience.
- Welding, fabrication, sheet metal.
- Experience supporting engineering development projects and custom equipment fabrication.
