About the role
This role is part of Keysight Laboratories developing application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) for electronic test and measurement products. The position focuses on custom ASIC data converter solutions in GHz applications, core ADC and DAC structures, streaming I/O data paths, or communication transceiver ASICs in CMOS and BiCMOS technologies.
What you'll do
- Develop custom ASIC data converter solutions in GHz applications, implementing core ADC and DAC structures and streaming I/O data paths. - Design and implement communication transceiver ASICs using CMOS and BiCMOS technologies. - Execute transistor-level design and physical design for high-performance mixed-signal integrated circuits. - Generate and characterize high-speed signals, including serial links and RF waveforms. - Document and present design results while collaborating cross-functionally across multiple project teams. - Troubleshoot and drive root-cause analysis on technical problems throughout design development.
What you'll need
- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or closely related field (with thesis work on mixed-signal IC design preferred), or an M.S. in Electrical Engineering with substantial IC design experience. - Experience designing high-speed analog and mixed-signal circuits in CMOS or BiCMOS technologies. - Direct experience executing both transistor-level design and physical design. - Hands-on experience with mixed-signal building blocks and integrated systems, such as PLLs, DACs, Serializers, ADCs, or wideband amplifiers. - U.S. Person status under U.S. export control laws and regulations (no visa sponsorship available).
Nice to have
- Experience through a complete design and fabrication cycle in mixed-signal circuit design. - Strong working knowledge of higher GHz clock, DAC, and ADC circuits. - Background in device modelling, thermal design, IC package design, and understanding of semiconductor parasitics, signal integrity, and EM issues. - Experience with at least the 65 nm process node. - Experience with mixed-mode simulation of analog and digital blocks, behavioral modelling using Verilog or Verilog A, and programming/scripting languages for automation. - Experience with synthesized digital design flows using RTL descriptions to deliver verified netlists for physical synthesis. - Ability to perform hands-on measurements using test and measurement equipment.

How we counted: 150 open Mixed-Signal Design (Mixed Signal) roles from 39 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 27 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Analog & Mixed-Signal family row.
