About the role
This role maintains CNC machines and related manufacturing equipment at the Livermore, CA facility, including installation, troubleshooting, and repairs.
What you'll do
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment using blueprints, technical manuals, and vendor specifications. - Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control system failures. - Troubleshoot PLCs, servo motors, drives, sensors, and machine controls. - Perform machine alignments, calibrations, and accuracy checks. - Replace worn or defective components including bearings, ball screws, spindles, belts, and motors. - Maintain maintenance records, repair logs, and spare parts inventory in the maintenance repair request program.
What you'll need
- 3+ years of CNC machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. - High School Diploma or GED. - Experience maintaining CNC machines such as mills, lathes, machining centers, and grinders. - Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or Mitsubishi CNC controls. - Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V, including AC and DC principles and motors. - Ability to read electrical diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings. - Must be a US Person per ITAR regulations.
Nice to have
- PLC troubleshooting experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Mitsubishi. - Welding and fabrication experience. - Industrial robotics troubleshooting experience. - Experience using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). - Forklift, aerial lift, or crane certification. - Technical School or Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field.
