About the role
As a Metrology Equipment Engineer at Texas Instruments, you will evaluate, select, and order equipment for the manufacture of company products, overseeing its installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance.
What you'll do
- Evaluate, select, and order equipment for manufacturing company products
- Oversee installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
- Keep current on equipment manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues
- Study equipment performance and reliability
- Establish programs and solutions for increasing uptime and addressing equipment problems
- Provide technical support to manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations
- Define and write preventative maintenance schedules
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics or related engineering degree
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment on Metrology equipment
Nice to have
- Equipment experience with KLA, Hitachi, and/or Onto tools
- Prior experience with SEM, PVD, CVD, high vacuum and/or ultra high vacuum
- Equipment experience on other equipment (e.g., AMAT, Veeco, TEL, Novellus, and/or ASM)
- Experience on tool monitoring and interdiction software, and equipment maintenance and documentation
- Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, and SPC techniques
- Experienced with semiconductor cleanroom protocol and behaviors
