About the role
Intel's CPU Circuit Technology team is seeking a Memory Circuit Design Engineer to design and develop memory circuits for CPU and SoC products. In this role, you will develop full-custom and compiler-based SRAMs, caches, multi-ported register files, ROMs, custom memories, and associated digital circuits.
What you'll do
- Design, characterize, and simulate memory circuits, caches, and custom circuits. - Perform critical-path analysis, memory path-finding, and design trade-offs to optimize power, performance, and area (PPA). - Develop and analyze memory bit cells, peripheral circuitry, and associated automation. - Evaluate circuit behavior across process, voltage, temperature, and design variations. - Collaborate with architecture, design, process technology, physical design, and product engineering teams. - Contribute to memory array and IP design, design methodologies, automation, and project execution.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or STEM with 5+ years of experience, Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or PhD with 1+ years of experience. - Experience in CMOS circuit design and memory design, evaluating circuit trade-offs for power, performance, and area. - Experience in Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) circuits and design methodologies.
Nice to have
- Experience in low-power implementation techniques. - Familiarity with circuit and layout trade-offs for optimized design. - Knowledge of digital circuit design tools, flows, and methodologies, including dynamic simulations, variation analysis, and signal integrity analysis.
