About the role
This internship involves contributing to equipment optimization, continuous improvement initiatives, and data analysis within Global Operations.
What you'll do
- Ensure equipment optimization and robust preventative maintenance schedules.
- Identify and drive continuous improvements in cycle time, constraints, safety, and efficiency.
- Establish SPC standards in key work areas.
- Develop and consolidate KPI and dashboards.
- Apply LEAN tools such as A3, 8D, and 8-step to implement manufacturing best-practices.
- Generate documentation/reports and present findings in team meetings.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or Systems Engineering.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Computer database experience (Oracle, SQL, Advanced Excel Macros programming).
- Experience with statistical and/or reporting tools such as JMP, Spotfire, or Tableau.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong mechanical aptitude (applies towards manufacturing equipment & tooling).
