This technical staff position leads, develops, and executes complex technology and engineering projects and directs research and development of new technologies.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement concepts for complex product issues, engineering solutions, and engineering layouts or schematics. - Technically lead and execute engineering projects and direct research and development of new technologies. - Problem-solve and troubleshoot engineering issues, performing complex engineering analysis and designing engineering experiments. - Interface with internal and external customers regarding complex engineering issues to address High Value Problems (HVP). - Generate product specifications, engineering documentation, and engineering processes, while defining, coordinating, and performing engineering tests. - Guide less experienced engineers in applying techniques, defining methods, and developing new principles and concepts on complex systems.
What you'll need
- In-depth expertise in mechanical engineering principles and broad knowledge across related engineering disciplines. - Track record of conceiving and implementing new technology, serving as primary inventor on patents or recognized through published papers and technical awards. - Experience defining, coordinating, performing, and documenting complex engineering tests and experiments. - Proven experience troubleshooting complex engineering problems and performing advanced engineering analysis. - Ability to interface directly with customers on High Value Problems (HVP) and communicate complex technical strategies.
