The Mechanical Engineer III Senior identifies and troubleshoots complex mechanical problems, develops detailed engineering layouts and drawings, and designs mechanical solutions for semiconductor equipment with limited supervision.
What you'll do
- Identify and troubleshoot difficult mechanical problems with limited supervision. - Define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering test reports. - Develop, design, or modify mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, or drawings and specifications. - Perform engineering analysis of difficult scope and generate mechanical product specifications. - Design, develop, and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. - Technically lead or execute projects, develop key suppliers, and specify and review engineering documentation.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree. - 4-7 years of experience. - Demonstrated experience with CAD software. - Experience with thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis, and/or Design for Excellence principles.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of the Applied Materials product life cycle, including prototyping, packaging, material selection, and manufacturing methods.
