About the role
This Material Quality Engineering Co-Op will support the Material Quality Engineering team in the production of gas filtration products for the semiconductor industry. This role focuses on ensuring material quality and supplier performance for specialized manufacturing processes.
What you'll do
- Analyze and trend supplier quality data
- Conduct raw material root cause investigations
- Implement corrective actions for internal and supplier quality issues
- Communicate technically with suppliers
- Review quality documentation and specifications
- Track MOC and provide administrative support
- Prepare for audits and follow-up on actions
- Maintain supplier scorecards
- Execute drawing and specification validation projects
- Initiate continuous improvement focused on defect reduction and supplier performance
What you'll need
- Exposure to engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Experience with technical documentation and data organization
- Basic data analysis experience (Excel, Minitab, or similar)
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Strong attention to detail
Nice to have
- Engineering area of study, such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Engineering
