About the role
This role involves performing tasks related to the production of graphite, silicon carbides, and other specialty materials through processing raw materials, green forming billets, and carbon billets.
What you'll do
- Safely and efficiently operate various manufacturing machines and equipment, including feeder hoppers, packer heads, air mills, remills, presses, and fork lifts.
- Conduct quality checks at different stages of the manufacturing process to ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and resolve minor equipment malfunctions and participate in routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Manage raw materials and finished products, ensuring proper storage, handling, and transport.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including data on machine operation, product output, and quality control checks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manufacturing guidelines.
What you'll need
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to ascend and descend ladders using a three-point grip.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods, often in varying environmental conditions.
- Adequate visual acuity to perform detailed inspections or precision work.
- Dependability with flexibility to work shifts, over-time, and weekends to support business needs.
- Capacity to comply with the federally mandated requirements of U.S. export control laws.
Nice to have
- Mechanical and/or technical experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in working in an ISO 9000/14000 environment
