About the role
This Manufacturing Systems Engineer Co-Op role involves transforming existing manufacturing processes into digital systems to enhance visibility, process improvement, and advanced analysis within the Global Supply Chain team. You will support the digitization of operations and the automation of manufacturing capabilities.
What you'll do
- Drive user engagement and adoption of manufacturing systems by partnering with site teams.
- Learn Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), process control technologies, and manufacturing analytics tools.
- Collaborate with site end users to gather feedback and identify enhancement opportunities.
- Support the delivery of manufacturing systems projects through requirements gathering, testing, training, and post-implementation support.
- Develop and deliver training materials and user education sessions to increase system adoption.
- Model manufacturing processes within Manufacturing Execution Systems to support production operations.
What you'll need
- Familiarity with manufacturing environments and solving manufacturing problems with data.
- Ability to communicate technical information and understand stakeholder concerns.
- Experience working with databases, data communication protocols, and data visualization tools.
- Currently enrolled student available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June.
- Familiarity with university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program.
- Must be pursuing Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or IT.
