About the role
This role involves actively managing manufacturing operations during a shift, focusing on performance, gap identification, corrective action, and communication across shifts and support functions. This position provides direct leadership to production employees and is accountable for achieving daily expectations in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Cost, and People Development.
What you'll do
- Lead the shift with safety as the first priority, ensuring consistent adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Own execution of the daily production plan and monitor performance against established targets, taking corrective action as needed.
- Manage key operating metrics including OEE, earned hours, units per hour, schedule attainment, downtime, first-pass yield, and scrap/rework.
- Provide clear expectations and daily direction to employees, coaching performance and recognizing strong contributions.
- Conduct effective shift-start and Tier meetings focused on safety, staffing, production priorities, and operational risks.
- Use data to identify recurring losses, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities, leading continuous improvement activities.
What you'll need
- 3-5 years of related manufacturing experience.
- 2+ years of demonstrated leadership experience in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of Clean Room operations.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (production flow, waste elimination, 5S, process optimization).
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift) on a manufacturing floor.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection, and gowns.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management, Engineering, or a related field.
- ISO 9000 administration.
- KPI reporting, data driven actions.
- Ability to distinguish colors.
