About the role
This role involves managing shift operations, coordinating workflows, reviewing production requirements, and ensuring production goals are met for CNC machining processes.
What you'll do
- Lead and supervise a team of CNC machinists.
- Communicate with lead workers, planners, engineers, and quality departments to review job status and priorities.
- Facilitate smooth transition of work and products between shifts and work groups.
- Review product prints, material lists, and bill of materials to determine production methods and identify needs.
- Anticipate, follow up, and resolve problems, material shortages, and equipment repairs.
- Manage staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and improve staff.
What you'll need
- 3-4+ years supervisory experience in manufacturing or related work experience including leading teams.
- Experience with an ERP system and MS Office suite.
- Thorough familiarity with manufacturing operations in semiconductor, aerospace, or defense industries.
- Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
