About the role
This role leads VPS Operations in a high-growth manufacturing startup environment, establishing foundational manufacturing systems, workforce readiness, operational discipline, and startup execution capability for successful fab operations launch and scale.
What you'll do
- Lead manufacturing operational readiness activities and support startup execution.
- Develop and implement standardized work, escalation processes, and operational routines.
- Own key critical metrics including OEE and Cycle Time.
- Lead new hire onboarding and certification programs, and build scalable operator training systems.
- Support implementation and stabilization of MES/manufacturing applications.
- Lead daily VPS manufacturing operations across multiple shifts, driving performance in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and workforce effectiveness.
What you'll need
- Manufacturing leadership experience.
- Experience leading manufacturing supervisors and operators.
- Experience in semiconductor, wafer fab, cleanroom, or precision manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting factory startups, operational readiness activities, and workforce development.
- Experience supporting MES/manufacturing systems implementation.
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience building manufacturing operational systems prior to production launch.
- Experience with workforce readiness, onboarding, and operator certification programs.
- Experience supporting 24/7 manufacturing operations.
- Assembly line startup or factory ramp experience.
