What you'll do
- Make engineering decisions balancing safety, reliability, cost, capacity, and operational efficiency.
- Lead the analysis, design, and continuous improvement of electrical systems (switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, emergency power, electrical panel distribution, and power monitoring).
- Provide engineering technical support for system operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and incident response.
- Develop and maintain key electrical documentation including one-line drawings, standard order of operations, standard operation procedures, and process documents.
- Drive reliability and risk-based engineering through root cause analysis, FMEAs, system assessments, and improvement roadmaps.
- Lead capital and expense projects for system upgrades, expansions, and optimization initiatives from concept through startup and handoff.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, ECE, or equivalent degree.
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in electrical systems.
Nice to have
- Capital or expense project leadership for electrical systems.
- Strong background in electrical systems for semiconductor manufacturing including: Low to high voltage (120V-138kV) electrical distribution, Emergency power (UPS systems, ATS/STS, generators, and battery systems), Power System Analysis (load-flow, short-circuit, arc flash, & coordination study), Power Monitoring/SCADA.
- Experience with IEEE, NFPA, NEC Electrical Standards.
- Advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, FMEA, and reliability engineering experience.

How we counted: 2424 open Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering (Manufacturing Equipment) roles from 77 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 11 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Process, Fab & Equipment family row.
