About the role
Skyworks' Manufacturing Quality Engineering Internships are offered in the Technology & Manufacturing business group within an assembly factory environment. The role supports Incoming Quality Control (IQC) across tools including die attach, wire bond, SMT, mold presses, and vacuum reflow equipment.
What you'll do
- Partner with process engineers to identify root causes and support corrective actions during problem-solving activities.
- Monitor factory performance indicators, review action logs, and help follow up on assigned corrective actions.
- Use metrology tools to measure key attributes across a broad range of incoming assembly materials.
- Extract and analyze key indicator data to identify trends and recommend potential actions.
- Support supplier quality engineering by assisting with discrepant material analysis and documentation.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3.5 GPA.
- Experience applying problem-solving techniques through lab work, coursework, or project-based assignments.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
