About the role
The Manufacturing Operator 3 performs skilled, intermediate-level tasks in support of manufacturing operations. The position involves detailed hand assembly and inspection of miniature electronic and mechanical components using microscopic and precision tools.
What you'll do
- Assemble and inspect complex products under a microscope using precision tools, following detailed work instructions and procedures. - Handle miniature electronic components using electrostatic discharge (ESD) safe practices. - Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections to identify workmanship defects and non-conforming conditions. - Perform approved rework and corrective actions, escalating complex issues to technicians, engineers, or supervisors. - Mentor and assist in training Manufacturing Operator 1 team members on processes, equipment, and best practices. - Wear required cleanroom attire and personal protective equipment (PPE) while maintaining productivity, quality, and safety standards.
What you'll need
- 2 to 4 years of related manufacturing or assembly experience. - Experience working under microscopes and handling small electronic or mechanical components. - Proven ability to perform detailed precision assembly following written work instructions. - Familiarity with ESD safe practices. - Ability to wear cleanroom attire (full coverall suit, hairnet, mask, gloves) and lift up to 30 lbs.
Nice to have
- Experience in electronics assembly, SMT manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, or aerospace assembly. - Basic soldering experience. - IPC certification. - Prior experience mentoring or training team members. - Experience performing visual inspections using magnification equipment.
