About the role
This role involves maintaining and optimizing advanced manufacturing equipment critical to semiconductor production. You will support the Advanced Packaging Technology Development - Substrate and Wafer Assembly (ATPD: SWA) organization.
What you'll do
- Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
- Execute setup, calibration, corrective, and preventive maintenance on critical manufacturing equipment, including wet chemistry, plating, and high-vacuum toolsets.
- Monitor tool performance and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Document maintenance activities, repair findings, and parts usage in accordance with established procedures.
- Contribute to projects aimed at continuous improvement, focusing on equipment optimization and yield enhancements.
What you'll need
- BS STEM related to Semiconductor Manufacturing (MET) or BS STEM;
- OR Associate degree STEM Related to Semiconductor Manufacturing (MET)/STEM and 2+ years related equipment maintenance experience;
- OR HS/GED or higher non-semi degree and 4+ years related hands-on experience or military technical experience;
- OR HS/GED or higher non-semi degree and 2.5+ years in related equipment maintenance experience;
- OR HS/GED or higher non-semi degree and 3+ year Technical/trade certification or 3+ years technical experience.
Nice to have
- 1+ years of experience in troubleshooting, installation, repair, and operation of electromechanical equipment in semiconductor manufacturing.
- Familiarity with wet chemistry, plating, and/or high-vacuum equipment in manufacturing or research environments.
- Proficiency with measuring devices such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, calipers, and micrometers.
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with tools such as torque wrenches and other standard hand tools for equipment repair.
