About the role
This role uses hand tools and machinery for deburring, polishing, washing, and other tasks related to product finishing at the manufacturing facility in Scotts Valley, CA. The position operates on a Monday through Friday swing shift from 2:15pm to 10:45pm.
What you'll do
- Operate automated aqueous washers, ultrasonic cleaners, or solvent degreasers to clean machined metal parts. - Use manual tools such as files, deburring tools, and abrasive pads to remove burrs, smooth edges, and clean residue from complex geometries. - Inspect parts for cleanliness and cosmetic defects using magnification tools to verify conformance to specifications. - Blend tool marks, polish surfaces, and apply rust inhibitors or coatings to finished parts. - Review shop travelers or blueprints for special instructions and maintain documentation of completed work using basic computer systems. - Adhere to company and OSHA safety policies regarding chemical usage and personal protective equipment.
What you'll need
- High School Diploma or GED. - 2 or more years of manufacturing or related experience. - Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand tools and maintenance equipment. - Ability to follow written procedures, work orders, shop travelers, and safety instructions. - Basic computer skills to document work activities and completed tasks. - US Person status per ITAR compliance requirements.

- Technical School or related experience in a machine shop, automotive, machine maintenance, or manufacturing environment.
