About the role
The Manual Machinist III produces components used in Ultra High Purity Systems within the Advanced Purity Solutions Division on 2nd shift.
What you'll do
- Operate manual engine lathes to produce components by turning, boring, facing, drilling, and cutting off material.
- Operate manual vertical milling machines to perform facing, slotting, drilling, and simple angle cuts.
- Inspect parts using calipers, OD and ID micrometers, telescoping gauges, and radius gauges against engineering specifications.
- Grind basic tool bits and manually sharpen drills.
- Operate shop equipment including belt and disk sanders, shears, drill press, press brake, automatic band saws, and tube facing tools.
- Use SAP to access and print engineering drawings and work instructions while completing 6S responsibilities.
What you'll need
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5-10 years’ experience in manual machining.
- Demonstrated experience operating manual engine lathes and manual vertical milling machines.
- Proficiency using precision inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, and telescoping gauges.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs daily and stand for extended periods of time.
- Flexibility to work 2nd shift (3pm-11:30pm), overtime, and weekends as needed.
