About the role
This role involves managing quality, environmental, health & safety policies, processes, and systems for manufacturing facilities in Ontario, CA, and Mexicali, Mexico. The role focuses on quality assurance for discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components.
What you'll do
- Manage Receiving Inspectors, Final inspectors, and Quality Engineers.
- Maintain and develop the quality system, retaining ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 certifications.
- Coordinate external audits and lead internal system audits, including auditor training.
- Respond to customer complaints, perform root cause identification, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Manage the Corrective Action Preventive Action program for NCMAs, supplier nonconformities, and audit findings.
- Contribute to APQP activities, prepare and submit PPAP packages, and ensure product/process qualification prior to changes.
- Develop, facilitate, and review QEHS risk assessments, participate in EH&S incident investigations, and train employees on EH&S risks.
- Review military, automotive, aerospace, and commercial specifications to ensure quality requirements are met during manufacturing.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
- 3 to 5 years minimum experience within a manufacturing environment, including team management.
- Good understanding of electromechanical concepts.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 management system standards.
- Firm understanding of statistical concepts related to quality (SPC, NQA, DOE).
- Strong knowledge of quality tools for problem solving (PDCA, 8D) and project management (FMEA, Functional analysis, project milestones).
