About the role
This role involves developing strategies, refining processes, and implementing initiatives within the Procurement team.
What you'll do
- Manage technical supplier selection, evaluation, and benchmarking for SiC raw wafer substrates and EPI materials.
- Manage single qualification projects or a larger project portfolio.
- Identify and implement conceptual saving opportunities for the SiC reporting line.
- Provide expertise in SiC raw materials to Infineon R&D and Front-End Operations.
- Define, negotiate, and own SiC raw material specifications in accordance with manufacturing and development requirements.
What you'll need
- Academic background in a natural science discipline (Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field).
- 5+ years of professional experience in the semiconductor industry related to SiC power applications.
- Knowledge of SiC crystal growth, wafering, and SiC epitaxial (EPI) deposition.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel as required for business needs.
