About the role
This role is responsible for leading, managing, growing, and strengthening relationships with the organization's most important customers regarding spare parts requirements.
What you'll do
- Serve as the primary contact for assigned key accounts regarding spare parts requirements.
- Manage customer consignment inventory and billable spare parts inventory.
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts for Install/Qual (IQ), Warranty (W), Recommended Spare Parts List (RSL), Maintenance Parts, and Critical Spare Parts Lists.
- Act as the liaison between customers and internal functions including Buyers/Procurement, Supply Chain, Planning, Logistics, and Service Operations.
- Lead, coach, and mentor account management team members to improve performance and professional development.
- Own and report performance metrics for assigned accounts, tracking improvements in Customer Satisfaction, Forecast Accuracy, Inventory Availability, Inventory Turns, Service Level/Fill Rate, Consignment Inventory Utilization, and Revenue Growth from Spare Parts.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
- 10+ years of account management, customer success, sales, operations, or strategic relationship management experience, including experience leading or mentoring teams.
- Experience managing large, complex, or enterprise-level customer accounts.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including coaching, performance management, expectation setting, and team development.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Power BI, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel to customer sites up to 50% of the time.
Nice to have
- Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, customer service, technology, or industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of customer engagement methodologies and account planning.
- Experience managing multi-million-dollar customer portfolios.
- MBA or advanced business degree.
- Strong analytical and financial management capabilities.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Project management experience.
- Experience leading account management, customer service, supply chain, or operations teams in a matrixed organization.
- Professional certification such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, PMP, or APICS.
