About the role

This role involves supervising employees engaged in production and/or operation functions, such as assembly, inspection, and test, for the company's capital equipment and systems.

What you'll do

• Supervise employees involved in production and operation functions related to capital equipment manufacturing.
• Set daily team priorities, develop work schedules, and assign tasks.
• Organize and facilitate work team meetings (e.g., pre-shift, safety).
• Coordinate efforts of service and/or customer groups to secure resources for production schedules.
• Eliminate safety incidents, improve equipment efficiency, and develop leadership capability on a production line.
• Assist in training and career development, and manage performance, selection, hiring, reward, and discipline processes.

What you'll need

• Demonstrated understanding and application of guidelines, procedures, and processes in operations management.
• Ability to apply understanding of how own team is impacted by upstream work of other teams.
• Experience supervising day-to-day work and participating in the coaching and development of employees.
• Judgment based on practice and precedent to resolve issues related to production schedules and daily priorities.
• Capability to impact the quality and timeliness of team’s results and its contribution to team or department goals.
• Interpersonal skills to exchange information and handle sensitive issues.
