About the role
This role supervises employees involved in production and operation functions related to the manufacturing of capital equipment and systems, electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and/or components, subassemblies, and subsystems.
What you'll do
- Supervise employees in production and operation functions including assembly, inspection, and test.
- Prioritize production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity, and materials requirements.
- Support the development and tracking of organization performance metrics and manage milestone meetings.
- Ensure timely response to operations issues impacting customer satisfaction and conform to customer/vendor requirements.
- Oversee the prevention of employee accidents and injuries, ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Develop personnel through training, career development, and performance management, including selection, hiring, reward, and discipline.

- Demonstrated understanding and application of procedures and concepts within own job family.
- Ability to apply understanding of how the team relates to other closely related areas to improve efficiency.
- Formal supervisory responsibilities with the ability to set priorities and coach employees to meet daily deadlines.
- Judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems.
- Skills in using tact and diplomacy to exchange information and handle sensitive issues, potentially with outside customers, vendors, or suppliers.
