Maintenance Technician

About the role
This role involves ensuring the optimal performance of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatically controlled equipment within operations. The scope includes troubleshooting, repair, and mentorship of other team members.
What you'll do
- Plan and execute major or minor repairs to building and factory systems and structures.
- Assist in setting up scheduled maintenance, including writing and modifying work instructions.
- Perform special inspections and maintenance to prevent breakdowns of systems like Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Compressed Gas Equipment, Vacuum Systems, Ro/DI Systems, Electrical Systems, Monitoring and Control Systems, and Building Infrastructure.
- Manage medium to large sized projects, including coordinating contractors, sourcing parts, and creating parts lists.
- Conduct scheduled, routine inspections on building and factory support equipment, maintain logs, and analyze them to prevent failures.
- Train other operators in all areas of the job assignment.
What you'll need
- Completed A.S. in air conditioning or a related field, or a minimum of 6 years equivalent experience.
- Ability to work with minimum or no supervision.
- Experience using a wide variety of hand, power, test, measurement equipment, and machine tools.
- Ability to perform advanced repairs on air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, and other systems including their control components.
Nice to have
- Basic plumbing and maintenance experience.
- Experience with abatement systems.
