About the role
This role involves performing preventative and proactive maintenance on production equipment within Wolfspeed's Epi Equipment Engineering and Maintenance team at the Silicon Drive Durham, NC location.
What you'll do
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on production equipment according to specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance through paper and electronic checklists.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment based on operating manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform equipment checks.
- Perform repeatable tasks to improve equipment uptime, such as changing filters, o-rings/seals, brushes, and other consumables.
- Support the company's 5S program for a safe, clean, and organized manufacturing area.
What you'll need
- High school education or GED.
- Working familiarity with electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
- Mechanical aptitude.
Nice to have
- Wolfspeed Technician Certification Program (TCP) graduate.
