About the role
The Machine Technician I will perform tasks related to producing components used in OEM assemblies at the San Luis Obispo, California facility on 2nd shift (3pm - 11:30pm). The role fabricates various stainless-steel tubes per engineering drawings and specifications using equipment including vertical bandsaws, CNC tube bend equipment, and tube facing tools.
What you'll do
- Cut, prepare, face, and bend stainless-steel tubes per engineering drawings and specifications. - Operate vertical bandsaws, CNC tube bend equipment, porta band saws, roto bur tools, files, and tube facing tools. - Use SAP to access and print drawings, instructions, and tube cut lists. - Perform routine operations to meet quality requirements and maintain on-time shipments. - Maintain measuring techniques, tool care, and complete 6S responsibilities (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety).
What you'll need
- High School Diploma or equivalent. - 0-2 years’ experience in cutting, de-burring, and cleaning tubing and fittings. - Ability to learn navigation through an ERP system to locate drawings and instructions. - Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs daily and stand for extended periods of time. - Dependability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
