About the role
As a Machine Learning Engineer within Qualcomm AI Research, you will architect, design, develop, test, and deploy on-device prototype software for AI use cases. The team focuses on advancing Gen AI technology for the edge, including model fine tuning, hardware acceleration, model quantization, and edge inference.
What you'll do
- Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy on-device prototype software for AI use cases. - Work alongside researchers and software engineers using AI frameworks and tools. - Enable on-device AI implementations using software engineering best practices. - Develop object-oriented software designs with a focus on usability.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. - Strong Python and object-oriented software design and implementation skills. - Knowledge of deep learning and ML frameworks, such as PyTorch. - Software design skills with a focus on usability. - Analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Generative AI (GenAI) technologies. - Knowledge of neural network model optimization and on-target deployment. - Knowledge of NPUs or ML accelerators. - Knowledge of Android programming. - Experience with optimization of algebraic operations in algorithms for HW cores. - Knowledge of C/C++ and embedded software.
