Ion Implant Equipment Engineer (SM1)
Experience with AMAT VIISTA (900XPT+, 900 3D MEHD II, Trident XP2) or Axcelis Purion XE toolsets is preferred.
About the role
As an Ion Implant Equipment Engineer at Texas Instruments, you will evaluate, select, install, modify, and maintain manufacturing equipment used to produce company products.
What you'll do
- Evaluate, select, and order manufacturing equipment to support cost-effective product manufacturing.
- Oversee the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of ion implant manufacturing equipment.
- Study equipment performance and reliability, establishing programs to increase uptime and resolve manufacturing process issues.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering teams.
- Define and write preventative maintenance schedules while tracking manufacturers' technical notices, upgrades, and safety issues.
- Improve tool install efficiencies and monitor equipment performance.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Physics, or a related engineering field.
- 2 years of relevant experience working in a semiconductor manufacturing environment as an Equipment Engineer.
Nice to have
- Equipment experience with AMAT VIISTA (900XPT+, 900 3D MEHD II, Trident XP2) and/or Axcelis Purion XE toolsets.
- Prior experience with high vacuum and/or ultra high vacuum systems.
- Equipment experience with other vendor platforms, such as AMAT, Veeco, TEL, Novellus, or ASM.
- Experience with tool monitoring and interdiction software, equipment maintenance, and documentation.
- Working knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, SPC techniques, and semiconductor cleanroom protocol and behaviors.
