About the role
The Field Application Engineering (FAE) intern provides technical support for the development and implementation of products, applications, and solutions. The position focuses on product and application support for Cloud and AI networking infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Support the FAE team with application lab expansion and network testing.
- Work closely with FAE and sales teams to review customer requirements and application use cases.
- Work with the firmware development team to help identify bugs.
- Participate in failure analysis, corrective action, and lessons learned activities.
What you'll need
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to physical sciences or electrical engineering.
- Foundational knowledge of the subject matter relevant to the role.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze information, communicate effectively, and complete work collaboratively.
- Availability for the full internship period.
Nice to have
- Practical working knowledge of transceiver hardware, or network switching and connectivity, including specification and testing of firmware/hardware interfaces.
- Familiarity with device firmware structure and functionality.
- Familiarity with standards documents such as CMIS, Ethernet, InfiniBand, and Industry MSAs.
- Experience with Python.
