About the role
As an intern on the Link Architecture team, you will develop statistical device models and system simulations that bridge the gap between simulation and measurement. You will collaborate with design and test teams to correlate device measurements to device models and system-level simulations.
What you'll do
- Develop statistical device models and system simulations for optical I/O links.
- Collaborate with design and test teams to correlate physical device measurements with device models and system simulations.
- Process and evaluate large experimental datasets to improve simulation accuracy.
- Work under the mentorship of a senior engineer on tailored link architecture modeling projects.
What you'll need
- Active enrollment in a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree program in Photonics, Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Understanding of optical physics and/or semiconductor physics.
- Demonstrated experience in statistical data analysis and processing large datasets.
- Strong programming skills in Python, including familiarity with data analysis libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy.
