About the role
As a Yield Development Engineer, you will advance Intel's process technologies within the Logic Technology Development (LTD) organization, identifying root cause yield limiters and driving solutions to enhance manufacturability and yield across technology nodes.
What you'll do
- Develop methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze diverse big data sources for defect mode understanding and yield modeling.
- Perform statistical analysis, create visualizations, and construct process development roadmaps that drive technology yield milestones.
- Extract insights from structured and unstructured data using advanced statistics, machine learning, and coding techniques.
- Organize, interpret, and structure insights from fab process, defect, and electrical data while identifying anomalies to drive process changes for yield enhancement.
- Develop multivariate algorithms and tools to identify root cause yield limiters and recommend process changes for yield improvement.
- Collaborate with design teams to resolve yield issues, ensuring manufacturability across process and product specifications before ramping production.
What you'll need
- Ph.D. in semiconductor science-related STEM degree in engineering, physical science, computer science, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in advanced semiconductor devices and process flow.
Nice to have
- 2+ years of experience with data analysis systems and software tools.
- 2+ years of experience in yield projection with EOL signals and in line parameters.
- Project/program management experience.
- Proven track record of working across organizations through matrix structures to accomplish strategic objectives with conflicting priorities.
