About the role
As Integrated Systems Lead, you will sit at the intersection of integrated photonics, integrated electronics, hardware, and AI teams to ensure subcomponents integrate into working prototypes and products. You will guide system-level models and simulations while serving as a primary technical and programmatic interface for commercial and government programs.
What you'll do
- Coordinate across integrated photonics, integrated electronics, hardware, and AI teams to align system-level interfaces, timelines, and technical dependencies. - Guide cross-team projects from kickoff through completion, resolving technical and organizational bottlenecks. - Direct engineering teams in data collection, modeling, and simulations to validate system-level performance. - Serve as the technical and programmatic contact for government and commercial customers, preparing progress reports, technical briefings, and program review decks. - Build milestone-based program execution plans encompassing scheduling, resource management, and risk management. - Translate system-level requirements into scoped technical work across engineering teams.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or a related field. - Hands-on technical experience with photonic systems within a hardware or deep-tech environment. - Experience building system-level models or simulations. - Demonstrated experience applying systems engineering practices, including requirements definition, verification planning, and cross-team technical coordination. - Experience generating technical reports, technical briefings, and stakeholder-facing presentations.
Nice to have
- Experience working on DARPA or other government-funded R&D programs. - Technical background in integrated photonics, semiconductors, or related hardware domains. - Startup or small-team experience.
