About the role
This role identifies bottlenecks, applies problem-solving methodologies to eliminate them, and supports capacity planning and loading at the Newport Beach Fab. You will evaluate and apply real-time production dispatch algorithms that adapt to changes in volume, timing, and product mix.
What you'll do
- Support capacity planning and loading at the Newport Beach Fab.
- Identify bottlenecks and apply problem-solving methodologies to improve productivity, cycle time, and on-time delivery.
- Propose, evaluate, and apply real-time production dispatch algorithms that adapt to shifts in volume, timing, and product mix.
- Maintain and update inputs to the capacity model, including units per hour, availability, and efficiency.
- Perform cycle time modeling and balance the line through dispatching and bottleneck analysis.
- Identify and initiate projects to meet cycle time and capacity requirements through tool installations and process re-qualifications.
What you'll need
- B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science.
- 2–3 years of experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Experience with manufacturing and operations management techniques, optimization, tool modeling, and performance metrics.
- Strong understanding of statistics, data analysis, and problem-solving methodologies.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Science principles, including scheduling/dispatching, TOC, Lean, Push/Pull systems, inventory management, and capacity planning.
- Knowledge of PROMIS, APF, and RTD.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
