About the role
As an Implant Equipment Engineer, you will own, monitor, and improve the performance of assigned semiconductor manufacturing equipment, with a focus on Ion Implant systems.
What you'll do
- Monitor and improve equipment performance, including availability, throughput, line yield, and cost of ownership.
- Generate and update tool maintenance specifications.
- Assist and train technicians.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment problems and define and implement solutions.
- Design, test, and implement equipment improvements and modifications.
- Identify and evaluate second source parts suppliers and address parts obsolescence issues.
- Assist with equipment purchases, installations, relocations, and qualification.
What you'll need
- BS or equivalent in an appropriate Engineering discipline.
- 5 or more years of Semiconductor experience in Equipment Engineering.
- Ion Implant expertise.
- Experience supporting implanters such as AMAT 9500xR, Varian E220/E500, or equivalent.
- Excellent mechanical and electronic skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities.
Nice to have
- Previous experience as an OEM Field Service Engineer.
- Experience supporting Thin Films equipment, including AMAT 5500 Endura, Novellus C1, Varian 3XXX, WJ999R, AMAT P5000/P5200, or equivalent.
